Lana Parrilla’s new TV series Miami Medical will premiere on CBS on April 2, 2010.
Graham Yost and Tom Hanks have been collaborating on a new film based on 60s astronaut action figure Major Matt Mason. Graham spoke to Movieweb about the project recently from the set of his new TV series Justified:
“Yeah, Tom and I have been writing that and it’s been turned in to Universal,” Yost explained.

WWE Studios has announced a new film, currently titled Big Red, which will feature Chase Ellison (who played Willie Stevens on Boomtown). Ed Harris will star as his teacher.
Set against the backdrop of the mid-sixties, “Big Red” is a coming-of-age story which follows 12-year-old Andy Nichol (CHASE ELLISON), a bright student whose English teacher, Mr. Simon (ED HARRIS), pairs him on a project with the school’s biggest outcast and social pariah, Stanley (aka “Big Red”). When Andy watches Stanley fearlessly confront a school bully, a series of events is unleashed, which changes the lives of both young men – and their teacher – forever.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Neal McDonough has landed a role alongside Virginia Madsen (who played aspiring actress Erika Ashland in the final episode of Boomtown) in upcoming ABC comedy-drama Scoundrels.
Neal plays Virginia’s husband who has just been sentenced to a long prison term.
Scoundrels is a remake of Outrageous Fortune, the longest-running drama series to be produced in New Zealand.
Vanessa Williams describes the cast of Ugly Betty as “devastated” over ABC’s decision last month to cancel the series after four seasons. Vanessa, who plays the scheming Wilhelmina Slater on Ugly Betty, blamed poor scheduling for the show’s lacklustre ratings. The final episode will air in the US in April.
Donnie Wahlberg and his New Kids On The Block bandmates have released a new DVD. Coming Home documents their reunion and the making of comeback album The Block, and includes a new song (also called “Coming Home”).
Mykelti Williamson, also known these days as Brian Hastings in 24, talked to Kate O’Hare about he and co-star Kiefer Sutherland’s rodeo background.
“I’ve known Kiefer a long time,” said Williamson. “Twenty years ago, he was a team roper, and I used to do a little bulldogging (also known as steer wrestling), but I never ran across him in the rodeo stuff, never. He was a lot more serious about it than I was. He and his partner actually won Arizona as team ropers. So he’s the real deal. He’s a real cowboy, not a movie, TV cowboy.
